A man and his son were killed after the vehicle they were traveling in was involved in an accident on the Nanyuki-Nyeri road.
A truck that was carrying bananas is said to have collided with their Suzuki vehicle near Ngarariga market on Sunday.
The two were rushed to the Nanyuki Referral Hospital but succumbed to their injuries.
Residents said the Nanyuki accident is not the first as the area is a blackspot.
They added that they have been forced to erect make-shift bumps to deter drivers from speeding.
They appealed to the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) to intervene so that fatal accidents are reduced.
